Hashnest Cloud Mining Review

Hashnest (previously known as snowball.io) is one of the few cloud mining providers that are backed by real hardware and Antminer hardware at that. Their ownership by the ones like Bitmain and Umisoo make them one of the most trustworthy cloud mining providers in the business. Their service and support is applauded by many although the language barrier is the thing that has been criticized by many when describing their support.

Company background:

Previously known as snowball.io Hashnest was launched by Bitmain and Umisoo in mid-2014 as a cloud mining service that will be backed by Bitmain’s legendary Antminer hardware. Bitmain is a trustworthy company in the Bitcoin community and their position being one of the leaders in the community is the thing that brings credibility to this enterprise.

Value for Money:

The contract prices with Hashnest are among the lowest in the industry and adding to that is their surprisingly low maintenance fees which is surprising because Hashnest is a hardware backed provider and we haven’t seen such low prices from any hardware backed cloud mining provider. This makes them a viable choice for starters that are looking for a trustworthy provider with low maintenance fee. One can also sell hashing power right through their dashboards if they like.

Customer Support:

Hashnest have a peculiar website that’s incredibly impractical. For accessing to their FAQs one have to first signup with them first and even if one want to ask them a question through their support ticket system they will have to sign up with them. That’s really unethical and we personally condemn this practice. The FAQs are themselves are not extensive and sometimes raises more questions for the customer than it answers like the puzzling miner-hashrate conversion ratio with them. They only provide support through their support ticket system and doesn’t provide any phone support or mention any support or company phone numbers on their website. Please note that this is in no way a criticism to their customer support, that’s really good although as we mentioned before, sometimes there can be inconveniences due to the language barrier.

Payout Processing:

As expected from a growing cloud mining company that is a child of Bitmain, payments are very reliable although inconsistent at times. They are still a growing company and the minor inconsistency issues will likely to fade away as they continue to feed through the market share.

Security:

Hashnest support and encourage all users to use Google two-factor authentication after they signup. A customer can reject to use Google two-factor authentication but it’s highly recommended that they don’t. Since one has to sign up and set up a “pin code” and optionally enable two-factor authentication just to access just to access their FAQs section, things can become inconvenient easily.

Summary:

Hashnest is definitely one of the best cloud mining providers out there and the low price of their mining contracts and maintenance fees makes them one of the best out there. Few niggling issues aside there is no doubt that Hashnest will grow to be better if not the best in the cloud mining business. Only time will tell since it’s still quite early to tell, they are in business for just over a year now. We definitely recommend Hashnest. If you can cope with the quirky dashboard and the flawed English translations then there is no doubt that they are the best in the industry. Aside from that they also don’t offer any referral or signup bonus which can be deal breaking for few but again can be ignored when you see the rock bottom maintenance fee and contract prices.
